Hi! I'm so glad you are curious about Somatic Therapy. I offer individual therapy sessions to adults.  I especially love working with those who identify as queer, non-binary, perfectionist, people pleasing and/or over-achieving, and want to deepen self-trust by learning how to work with and support their own unique nervous system.

Deepening self-trust can create the fertile ground to discover and express your authentic self.

I specialize in helping my clients identify and express their needs and desires, as well as learn to establish and maintain healthy boundaries. This can empower you to create more connective and fulfilling relationships with yourself and with others.

As we navigate a culture that is obsessed with relentless productivity, performance, and the urge to compare, I help my clients identify and proactively combat burnout by addressing perfectionism, people-pleasing, and overachievement tendencies.

Together, we will explore your unique nervous system that has been shaped by your family system, societal pressures, and experiences in your life. We will deepen self-awareness, and cultivate resilience during times of stress, grief, life transitions, relationship changes and spiritual explorations. My role is to provide encouragement and inquisitive support as we navigate many areas of your life.

At this time I do not work with children, teens, or couples.

My Approach to Somatic Psychotherapy

I weave together multiple therapeutic modalities in my sessions.  These modalities are unique in their ability to encourage more adaptive and resilient ways of thinking and behaving.

- Nervous System Psycho-Education.

- Somatic Inquiry (Attuning to the body's signals via mindfulness practices, and learning to resource your unique nervous system)

- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing)

- IFS (Internal Family Systems)

Inspired Therapeutic Practices

-Expressive Arts Therapy

(Can include writing, visual arts, movement and music, and is deeply rooted in connecting with the intelligence of the body and the nature world.)

         About Me:

I am a silly goofball that loves to romp around in the forest with my dog, Theo.... roller-skate and take hammock naps in nature.  I love practicing and teaching gentle flow, and restorative yoga, and hope to live near the ocean one day.

Holding a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Appalachian State University, I am certified as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and have been in private practice since 2016.

My rate is $150/50 minute session.  Some sliding scale spaces may be available.

If you’re interested in any of my offerings, I’d love to hear from you. Please reach out and we can schedule a consultation to discuss how we can work together.
